Aims

To assess the level of input required to maximise yields of barley grown after wheat.

Key messages
  • Barley responded to inputs of nitrogen, buy responded to variably to fungicide.
  • 20- 40 kg N was reqired to maximise yield.
  • Where there was an N response, fungicide also gave an additional response.
