Lentils - pant density x sowing time, MRZ Wimmera locations
Aims

To investigate the adaptability of a range of lentil varieties to varying plant densities and sowing dates.

Key messages

Seeding rate of lentils in the Mallee could be lowered from 120 to 80 plants/m2, particularly with new disease resistant varieties sown early. Lentils were profitable in the mallee, producing up to $653/ha at Kulwin and $433/ha at Curyo.
