Solfonylurea herbicide and zinc/phosphorus fertiliser interactions locations
Aims

To conduct trials across CW NSW to provide objective data on the potential for SU and Zn interactions in wheat.

Key messages
  • Chlorsulfuron (eg Glean) was found to reduce wheat yields at some sites.
  • No zinc (Zn) responses were recorded at any of the sites.
  • Phosphorus (P) response was closely correlated with soil P levels.
  • Increasing Zn and P nutrition did not reduce the Chlorsulfuron effect.
