Aims

To determine the rates of copper and zinc required for maximum grain yield of wheat.

Key messages
  • Zinc reduced yield of wheat with Cu nil. Cu application gave a small yield increase without Zn applied.
  • Cu & Zn apploication both required for maximum grain yield.
  • Combination of 5.5 kg Cu sulfate and 1.7 kg Zn oxide grain maximum yield.
  • ZnO and 1.7 kg/ha required for maximum pasture and Oat yield.
  • There was no evidence that further additions of Cu and Zn was needed in subsequent years.
