Effect of copper and zinc on wheat on newly brown siliceous sands locations
Aims

To determine the rates of copper and zinc required for maximum grain yield of wheat grown on  coastal brown siliceous sands.

Key messages
  • Cu & Zn either separately or in combination increased grain yield.
  • Combination of 11 Kg Cu sulfate and 3.3 kg ZnO recommended
  • Follow with a combination of 5.5  Kg Cu sulfate and 1.6 kg ZnO recommended in following crops.
  • No information on Zn depressing yield with nil or low rates of Cu.
