Lupin, Harvest Timing and desiccation, Southern Mallee (Pinnaroo), South Australia locations
Aims

To determine if grain yields of lupins can be increased through desiccation and timely harvest.

Key messages

All lupin varieties produced similar yields of around 1.6 t./ha. Grain yields 14 – 16% higher were obtained by harvesting early.

Grain yield: Desiccation treatments did not influence grain moisture content or grain yield.
