Chickpea (deep sandy soils), deep ripping and organic matter, Northern Mallee (Kooloonong), Victoria. Lentil (deep sandy soils), deep ripping and organic matter, Northern Mallee (Kooloonong), Victoria Lupin (deep sandy soils), deep ripping and organic mat locations
Aims

To evaluate the impacts of the soil amelioration practices of deep ripping and organic matter inputs on the growth and production of lupin, lentil and chickpea grown on deep sandy soils in the Mallee.

Key messages

Key messages: There was a significant effect of deep ripping on both dry matter production and grain yield for all three crops. Conversely the was no significant effect of organic matter inputs in any of the trials.
