2009 trials

This was the first year of an intended long term trial investigating the effect of K nutrition on sandplain. Potassium was applied at rates between zero and 100 kg/ha IBS and banded in the forms of MOP and compound NPK product (Vigour).

This was a small trial in which alternative break crops were sown into a deep sand.

To improve understanding of the range of tillage implements and techniques available to incorporate lime into acidic soils, their respective costs and benefits.

This trial was established 2006 to :

• demonstrate responses to Super Phos, potash and lime in pasture and the benefits to the following crop, and
• to demonstrate the benefits of pasture manipulation and intake in furrow to the following crop.

This report records the use of polyacrylamides (PAMs) and soil wetting agents in Badgingarra.
