To coduct chickpea variey testing.

Key messages
  • Many of the new lines that have better ascochyta resistance than Sona out-yielded Sona.
  • Sona is susceptible to ascochyta while WACPE 2073 and Kaniva are highly susceptible.
  • Resistance of other lines are rated as moderately resistant to moderaly susceptible except for FLIP94-90C and ICCV that may be classed as moderately resistant depending on further results.
