Clearfield: a clear winner in brome grass control locations
Aims

To evaluate the efficacy of different formulations of imidazolinones (Group B imi’s) and the sulfonylureas (Group B SU’s) on brome grass.

Key messages
  • Clearfield chemistry significantly increased brome grass control, at this timing compared to the SU's.
  • Clearfield offers control, not suppression.
  • There are many factors that must be weighed up before deciding upon the weapon of choice for brome grass control.
