Herbicide options for regular canola locations
Aims

To investigate weed control options in regular canola to assist with possible registration of these herbicide options.

Key messages
  • There are few broadleaf herbicides registered in conventional canola.
  • Bladex 1L/ha, Dual Gold at 150 and 300ml/ha, Brodal at 100 and 200ml/ha, Dicamba500 at 140ml/ha and Spark at 150ml/ha were all visually acceptable (rather than visually acceptable try caused no phyto-toxic effect) when applied to canola at the 5 leaf stage.
  • These products are not currently registered, the work was undertaken to assist any possible registration processes.
