Investigating the effect of water quality on 'dim' efficacy locations
Aims

To investigate the effect of water quality on ‘dim’ herbicides, Select and Aramo.

Key messages

The efficacy of Select (clethodim) and Aramo (tepraloxydim) in controlling ryegrass was investigated using water of different qualities (rainwater, dam water, hard water and UAN). It appears that Select is less efficient in controlling ryegrass when mixed with hard water, however further trial work is necessary to verify this.
