Trial location(s) Riccarton (Campbell Town), TAS
Canola variety trial locations
Aims

To conduct yield trials were conducted on conventional, triazine-tolerant and Clearfield canola.

Key messages

The results clearly indicate the need for ongoing variety testing as new lines are being developed. More varieties are being developed that are suitable to Tasmania's climate and growing conditions, however, on the basis of one trial and site most new lines evaluated cannot be excluded from further testing. The yields of the better performing varieties suggest material is available for Tasmanian growers for potentially good yields.
