Aims
  • To compare a number of varieties that are either commercially available or close to commercial release that may be suitable for either milling or feed markets in southern Victoria.
  • To evaluate the varieties with a fungicide programme, to determine the yield response of the varieties when controlling leaf diseases against a control of nil foliar fungicide. 
Key messages
  • The highest yielding variety for the 2008 Inverleigh wheat trial programme was Espada with 4.18 t/ha. The mean yield for hte fungicide treated trial was 3.44 t/ha, with the treated mean yield in 2007 being 4.18 t/ha.
