Researcher(s) Andrew Speirs (Hi Fert)
Year(s) 2000
Contributor Southern Farming Systems
Trial location(s) Gnarwarre, VIC
Streatham, VIC
Zinc efficiency trials locations
Aims

To compare the effects of zinc coated fertilizers and sulphur coated fertilizer to standard products at varying rates of phosphorus and to compare their effect on grain yield and quality.

Key messages
  • There was no significant difference between treatments, water use efficiency is very high indicating we do need to consider Jan to April rainwall as well.
  • There as a trend for yields to increase with increasing rate of P applied.
  • For further conclusions please see the attached trial report.
