Efficacy of zinc oxide as fertilisers locations
Aims

To report on strategies for improving zinc nutrition with zinc oxide fertilisers.

Key messages
  • Zinc oxide fertilisers had lower solubility and dissolution than zinc sulphates.
  • Zinc oxide was as effective as zinc sulphate if it was mixed with the soil but not when banded near the seed.
  • Zinc sulphate would be preferable to zinc oxide in no-till systems where fertiliser is banded.
