To determine the methods and rates of Mn placement required for maximum grain yield of wheat following lupin grown on Grey sands on Esperance sand plainacross 3 seasons.
Summary of 2 experimentsover 3 seasons esperiments on sandplain soils.
For wheat, sites were selected where lipins gave a large seed reponse in the previous year. Lupins produced much split seed.
Soil grey sands Deep phase gibson sand
Dtpa Mn < 4.0 mg/kg soil
However for wheat there was no grain yield response to Mn. Grain yield ranges from 3.5 -3.75 t/ha
hence no determination on methods of placement were possible for wheat
