Canopy densities and their interaction with pollination locations
Aims
  • To demonstrate the effect of crop canopy densities on pollination.
Key messages
  • High seeding densities create dense canopies. Pollinating insects are unable to penetrate the dense canopy.
  • There is a clear benefit for managing canopy densities when using bees for pollination.
