Trial details

Researcher(s) Damian Jones
Year(s) 2017
Contributor Irrigated Cropping Council
Trial location(s) Kerang, VIC
Irrigated Pulses Part 1 locations
Aims

To evaluate the potential to grow chickpeas and lentils under irrigated conditions

Key messages

Irrigation in spring did not improve yield or grain quality of the chickpea and lentil varieties tested

Drainage was the key to preventing crop damage rather than irrigation timing
