Year(s) 2006
Contributor Central West Farming Systems
Trial location(s) Cowangie, VIC
Profitable future: new rotations for low rainfall environments locations
Aims

To compare various crops and crop mixtures as alternatives to fallow in the first year of a 2 year cropping rotation.

Key messages

When compared to fallow, the 2005 grain yields from the field pea more than compensated for the subsequent 2006 wheat grain yield reduction.
