To provide localised data on the yield and quality response of released and near release field pea lines.
Key messages
The extremely late break to the season highlighted maturity differences in pod mapping.
The flowering period of late maturing varieties was cut short quite significantly. However there were not big yield differences overall.
Yield varied from 2.0 - 2.7t/ha.
The grain size varied from 18.6g/10Oseeds (Morgan) to 26.2g/10Oseeds (Moonlight).
