Aims

To assess and compare the yield and quality of new and current lupin varieties.

Key messages
  • Barlock is available to growers for the first time in 2014 and is suited to most lupin growing areas. It is resistant to Anthracnose, tolerant to metribuzin and has improved resistance to pod shattering.
  • Barlock was the highest yielding lupin variety across all MIG trials.
  • Gunyidi was the most vigourous variety during the season
