Aims

To determine the impact of water quality on wild oat control in chickpeas when using clethodim or haloxyfop.

Status efficacy on wild oats was significantly reduced when added to water with high bicarb loading. Addition of Liase 2% overcame the antagonism. There was no impact from increasing water hardness on Status performance. There was no significant impact from the addition of bicarb on Verdict efficacy. Trial was terminated shortly after 30 DAA when surviving wild oats were at the boot stage.
