Nutrition for High yielding faba bean locations
Aims

Evaluate the nutritional needs of high yield potential beans through the addition of N, P and nutrition sources

Key messages

This builds on 2021 results where we found significant yield responses to increaing N, and seed density despite more lodging.  This spoke site aims to help remove nutritional constraints associated with poor nodulation and educate growers on the legacy effects and benefits of pulses in the cereal rotation, such as N fixation. 2022 treatments will include more P treatments, addition of a manure, N timing and innocualtion in Amberley. This experiment aims to synthesis the knowledge from previous work in faba beans and be used as a means of extension. We have seen large resposnes to Manures in SW Victoria in other crops, this will alos be investigated.
