Other trial notes

Several new herbicide tolerance traits are soon to be available in lentils; these include improved tolerance to metribuzin applied at sowing or in crop, tolerance to resisdual concentrations of clopyralid, which is commonly used in cereal or oilseed crops preceeding lentils in the cropping rotation and the commonly used imidazolinone tolerance. These traits offer new opportunities to control problem weeds such as vetch in the lentil phase. In these trials we investigate potential herbicide packages that may provide improved weed control.
