Response of new Faba Bean varieties and breeding lines to sowing date locations
Aims

Other trial notes

Growers manage trade-offs between crop growth and grain yield potential and the risk of disease, lodging, and seasonal risk. However, current commercial varieties are similar in terms of phenology. Comparing varieties and breeding lines with standard varieties both explains the risks and rewards of sowing date choice for current varieties and identifies new opportunities for improved faba bean agronomy with reduced risk.
