In 2020, spring-sown faba beans at Inverleigh achieved grain yields of 2.5 t/ha. Spring-sown faba beans could be a favourable low-input, low-value pulse option that provides an alternative spring-sown option where required, such as in winter-waterlogged paddocks. Variety choice and sowing rate will affect growth rates, which is essential to maximising grain yield potential in spring-sown conditions. |
