Frost Tactics: Trial 3 Nutrition moderate frost risk locations
Aims

Trial type
Trial design

Tooligie Hill 2022

Sow rate or Target density 180
Sow date 18 May 2022
Harvest date Not specified
Plot size 1.5m x 10m
Plot replication 3
Plot randomisation Randomised complete block design
Fertiliser

80kg/ha DAP, 90kg/ha SOA, 100kg/ha Urea + treatments

Other trial notes

Soil ameloriation, nutritional defincincies such as copper and potassium and treatments that effect ice nucleating bacterica levels have been linked changes in frost damage.

Used 16 different foliar applications around booting, mechanical defoliation at GS31 and nutritional applications at sowing.

Products will only be indentified by their proported benefit eg ice nuclating bacteria reduction, trace element application etc.

Trial impacted by any unusual or adverse factors: Frost
