Use the Trial Explorer to search for trial projects in a particular region or on a topic of interest. The Trial Explorer search filters provide targeted grain research information quickly.
Trial Explorer contains research findings and associated information from cropping trials conducted across Australia.
The Online Farm Trials (OFT) project brings national grains research data and information directly to the grower, agronomist, researcher and grain industry community through innovative online technology. OFT is designed to provide growers with the information they need to improve the productivity and sustainability of their farming enterprises.
Using specifically developed research applications, users are able to search the OFT database to find relevant grain research information.
OFT works closely with grower groups, regional farming networks, research organisations and industry to bring a wide range of crop research datasets and literature into a fully accessible and open online digital repository.
Supported by the Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC), the OFT project commenced in 2013 with the aim of using the latest technology to improve access to, and adoption of, grains industry research data and information.
The project is being led by the Centre for eResearch and Digital Innovation at Federation University Australia (FedUni) through a team of senior scientists, researchers and programmers with advice from specialist grains industry experts.
Following the development of grains research analysis tools during the pilot phase of the project, the OFT project has established successful collaborations with the Grower Group Alliance (GGA) and Ag Excellence Alliance (AgEx). These collaborations have enabled close relationships with research organisations and will continue to help the OFT project expand into the future.
